Growing up in Waynesboro, VA I spent countless amounts of hours in the gym playing in youth basketball leagues, middle school ball, and 2-years as a varsity basketball player at Waynesboro High school. I was a role-playing shooting guard for the Little Giants boys’ basketball team during my high school playing days under Hall of Fame head coach C. Jay DeWitt and went on to Mary Baldwin University to study Marketing and Communications.

Recently, I’ve decided to continue my education by enrolling into James Madison University’s Adult Degree program, working to expand on my experiences to make myself better suited for continued growth.

Over the years, I’ve also gained a lot of experience working and leading basketball camps/clinics, as well as having 10+ years of experience coaching and being a certified VHSL basketball official.

Now 27 years old and working as the Assistant General Manager at Horizons Edge Sports Campus (& club director for VA Swarm in our new region), my journey has come full circle.

At Horizons Edge, my main responsibilities include many operational and developmental duties. Those include overseeing and driving our adult leagues and tournaments, special events, and youth sports offerings. In addition to those responsibilities, I lead with the guidance of our General Manager (Jeff Frank) in overseeing community engagements/partnerships, business development and all things related to the revenue generating side of the facility operations.

I’ve been an athlete and have worked in the athletics and sports world my entire life. For me, I know that I have been destined to serve the local community through athletics since the age of 14 – It’s what I am most passionate about, and I couldn’t see myself doing anything else that is as fulfilling as my career in athletics.
