Metro West
The leading club basketball program in the Northeast Powered by Under Armour, Metro West Swarm hosts teams for Boys and Girls Grades 3rd – 12th. With a focus on fundamental skill development, Swarm encompasses weekly skill sessions with team practice to target both individual and team growth. Tournaments are primarily within driving distance, in the Boston and Metro West area. All programming is located at our home facility, the Fieldhouse Mansfield. The program is directed by veteran Division I and NBA coach, Mike Babul. Our girls program is Directed by Joe Dicruttalo, Head Girls Basketball Coach at St. Mark’s School. Above all, accountability and commitment are the two driving forces behind our organization while developing a love for the game. Swarm also hosts clinics and camps throughout the year.

PJ Thibodeau joined Swarm Basketball as the Girls Director of the Rhode Island Swarm program in 2018 before being promoted to New England Girls Director in 2022. PJ came to Swarm Basketball with an extensive background in youth basketball as the Director of the Cranston Youth Basketball Association and the Travel Basketball Coordinator. PJ’s playing experience began as co-captain of the St. Raphael Academy Basketball Team followed by captain of the West Point Preparatory School basketball team, before playing 4 years on the Rhode Island College Men’s Basketball team.
