Rhode Island Swarm
Rhode Island Swarm, powered by Under Armour, is the premier club basketball program in the Northeast. We provide opportunities for boys and girls in grades 3rd to 12th. Our club teams are available in both the Fall and Spring, with locations in Cranston and South County. The girl’s program is led by Coach PJ Thibodeau, Head Girls Basketball at the Rocky Hill School, while the boy’s program is directed by Coach Derek Dewey, owner and operator of Rhode Island Basketball Academy. Additionally, we offer various camps and clinics throughout the year.

Jenn Robbins
Head Coach
Robbins is a dedicated basketball coach with a strong background in both coaching and playing. She currently serves as the assistant coach for the Mt. Hope girls varsity team, head coach for the Portsmouth 8th-grade rec travel team, and has been a coach with Swarm for two seasons.
Before joining Swarm, Robbins spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Hunter College in New York. There, she helped lead the team to an impressive 33-15 conference record, a CUNYAC Championship title in 2019, and a historic NCAA tournament bid – the program’s first in 15 years.
As a former Division II basketball player, Robbins excelled on the court during her collegiate career, ranking second nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio as a freshman and sophomore. She was also among the top 10 in 3-point field goal percentage and assists per game. Robbins was named to both the WVIAC All-Freshman Team and the WVIAC All-Tournament Team. She scored over 1,000 points in both her college and high school careers.
In high school, Robbins led New York State Section V in scoring during her senior year, averaging 23.6 points per game. She earned All-Greater Rochester Basketball Team honors, was selected to the Basketball Coaches Association of New York Sectional All-Star Team, and was named MVP of the Section V Ronald McDonald All-Star Game for the gold team.
